{Virginia} A Summer Wedding at The Historic Jasmine Plantation

sunflower bouquetI once came across a quote early on that has directly influenced The Lovely Find.  I’m not sure who said it first, but it reads, “In the South, we do it this way.”  Every time I see a lovely wedding taking advantage of our beautiful surroundings, I’m reminded of how amazing our region is. From fried green tomatoes to sweet tea and sweet weddings, we kind of have it all.

Chase Narrative Photography: “The forecast called for isolated and scattered thunderstorms which has not been unusual this summer.  It’s hot and humid, a typical Richmond summer, but my fingers were crossed that the rain would steer clear of The Historic Jasmine Plantation so Jessica and Justin could have their outdoor ceremony.  You could see the big dark clouds making their way closer to us as friends and family ran around setting up the decor inside the reception tent.  An hour before the ceremony started, it POURED.  Everyone pitched in to make sure the decorations were all protected, chairs and tables were moved, and umbrellas came out from every direction.  The rain did pass, which only made the grass greener!  The bright yellow sunflower bouquets popped against the girls’ cobalt blue dresses, and the lush green background was the perfect summer wedding combination…”
