{Tennessee} Pretty Purple Wedding at Smithview Pavilion & Event Center

Rachel’s Tennessee wedding day was a Southern affair in many gorgeous shades of purple. Gone is the notion that bridesmaids are destined to rock the same dress or same color on wedding day. Hello, color, we love you!

The bride wore purple high heels. Each bridesmaid carried a unique bouquet of green hydrangea flowers, lavender roses, hypericum berries, and other purple florals to set off their dresses.

Rachel used inspiration from Southern Living Magazine when planning her big day. Mason jars filled with purple wildflowers decorated the outdoor aisle, and guests’ names were written on river stones in lieu of traditional place cards. A tiny bird’s nest cradled the rings.

Tissues were available “for happy tears only,” and vintage birdhouses and lanterns decorated the reception hall.

Cookies and milk were offered at the reception. After a lovely wedding and a round with the sparklers–we LOVE sparklers, the newlyweds were off to their lakeside honeymoon.
