{Tennessee} Lavender Wedding at Historic Cedarwood by Rachel Moore Photography

lavender rose bouquet, rustic bridal bouquetThe Lovely Find is back to beautiful, stunning Historic Cedarwood for this rustic lavender and purple wedding.  The bride describes her wedding day as simple, fresh, country; we couldn’t agree more!  From the amazing lavender roses in the bouquets and the mason jars filled with purple flowers, to the homemade grape jelly favors and Moon Pies served as a late night snack at the reception, this wedding is absolutely Nashville chic.  We adore the “here comes the bride” sign, the romantic first look, and all the design elements that make this wedding an absolutely gorgeous event.  The bride even sent along some of the details of their big day for us to share with y’all!

first lookfirst lookfirst lookI’m a small town girl from Ohio, and Andrew’s a sweet Southern boy from Tennessee.  We wanted our wedding to reflect that.  Before we had our first meeting at Cedarwood, I was trying to put together photos and an overall theme.  A good friend of mine suggested that my style was “simple fresh country”.  That just seemed to stick with me, so everything that I looked at I tried to make it simple and classy with a relaxed country feel.Historic Cedarwood, lavender weddingHistoric Cedarwood, lavender weddingHstoric Cedarwood, lavender weddinghere comes the bride sign, wedding inspirationHistoric Cedarwood wedding ceremonyThere are so many unbelievable moments that will stay with me forever: the first moment I saw Andrew when I walked across the lawn; the feeling of excitement and nervousness I had when I held on to my dad’s arm right before we walked down the aisle; the moment that the Pastor announced us man and wife when we looked back at all our family and friends and I could see their happiness for us; how proud I was when Andrew gave his thank you speech that he was my husband; I can go on and on…lavender roses, mason jar centerpieceswedding receptionwedding inspirationHistoric Cedarwood, lavender weddinglavender rose wedding cakeOur wedding favors were something personal to both Andrew and me.  Andrew’s grandparents grew grapes and made grape jelly every year when he was growing up.  As a way of joining our two families, my sister made homemade grape jelly using Andrew’s grandparents’ recipe, and we gave that out as favors to all our guests.
