{Tennessee} A Vintage Bridal Session by Jennie Andrews Photography

Knoxville wedding blogThis vintage bridal session from Jennie Andrews Photography is just lovely.  The bride, Valerie, “borrowed” her mama’s vintage wedding dress from the 1970s, with a plan to surprise her with the bridal portraits on the night of Valerie’s rehearsal dinner.  The dress, which is stunning and gorgeous with the bride’s floral crown and fur coat, cost $50 when Valerie’s mama first put it on layaway.  We’re so glad it was so well-preserved these last years so that Valerie could rock it in Knoxville.

Her fur coat, her rustic bouquet, and the surprise visit of a flurry of snowflakes make Valerie one of the prettiest, happiest brides we’ve ever seen.  We love that the session isn’t focused on how elaborate or expensive the gown is, because we firmly believe this time in your life isn’t all about that.  It’s about finding your true love, being happy, being blessed.  Beauty is truly not about the clothes you wear… although we think this dress is perfect!  And this Knoxville bridal session has us feeling completely inspired.

{Tennessee} Historic Cedarwood Wedding by Ace Photography

southern style wedding cakeMicah’s wedding day story is nothing short of a real life miracle.  We always love a bride who chooses Historic Cedarwood as her wedding venue because, well, it has to be one of the prettiest places we can think of.  But Micah’s inspirational story of courage, triumph, and love {read it here} shines a new light on what’s really important about your wedding day and marrying your groom.  “Let nothing come between a bride and her wedding day,” she says.

A nearly fatal car wreck three weeks before her wedding day crushed Micah’s foot in eighteen places, and the injury required extensive surgical repair.  Not to be swayed, Micah married Jerry, her now husband, as scheduled.  We don’t think a boot can take away from a loveliness that brilliant, y’all, and we think this bride might be braver than a lot of us.

{Tennessee} A Southern Farm Wedding by jHenderson Studios

red barn weddingWe have a Tennessee wedding stunner for y’all from jHenderson Studios this afternoon.  From the big red barn in the distance, to the cowgirl boots and the bride’s to die for Lazaro wedding gown, this wedding is absolutely lovely.  The burlap, white blooms, and rich purple hues created a perfect southern environment for Bill and Lindsey’s wedding day.  To honor Bill’s legal career, the groom’s cake was designed to resemble a stack of law books.  And at the end of the night, the bride and groom celebrated with fireworks.  From Lindsey, the bride: “We based the style of our wedding on the simple, rustic aesthetic associated with the vineyards of wine country, but replaced core elements with southern staples like burlap, mason jars, and traditional southern food to reflect our southern roots.”  Congratulations, Bill and Lindsey!

{Tennessee} A Romantic Southern Church Wedding by Vantage Media

church wedding inspirationWe think this southern church wedding is just adorable, and so perfectly Tennessee!  We love the inclusion of classic Coca Cola, the bride’s sweet expression, and the joy of the groom.  The balloons are perfectly sweet, and so are the pink and coral roses of the bridesmaids’ bouquets.

From Vantage Media: “To me, there’s nothing more romantic than getting married exactly where you met the love of your life.  That happens a lot at Bellevue Baptist Church, where kids grow up together from preschool cooties to high school crushes.  And that’s the story of today’s lovebirds, Andrew & Rachael.  Even when they shyly began dating in high school, their parents knew that this was something different.  Everyone knew that these best friends were going to be together forever.”  Congratulations, Rachael and Andrew!
