An Alabama Wedding by Chanterelle Photography

Alabama wedding blogThis Alabama southern wedding by Chanterelle Photography is the bee’s knees, y’all.  From her ethereal wedding veil to the beautifully classic bouquet of white blooms she carried, we’re kind of in love with Courtney and Greg’s traditional Fountainview Mansion wedding day.  The calligraphy on their invites, the tall centerpieces of hydrangea and white rose, and the “something blue” that wrapped around Courtney’s bouquet are just the beginning of all the southern goodness.

A Romantic Virginia Bridal Session by Laura Gordon Photography

romantic bridal sessionWe are of the opinion that Laura Gordon Photography has a truly awesome style.  This romantic bridal session is inspiring, stunning, and utterly beautiful.  Reminiscent of watercolor paintings, each image, to us, is like an artistic masterpiece.  The bride, Jessica, wore a ruffled wedding gown and her mama’s cathedral length wedding gown.  To make things even lovelier, her little dog came along for the session, which took place at the venue where she’d soon marry her husband-to-be.  Congratulations, Jessica and Andrew!

A Mountain Wedding by Jenny Tenney Photography

blush pink wedding inspirationWe are so excited that it’s Friday, y’all.  It’s been a really BUSY week for us, and we’ve been out of the office more than we like.  And because we’ve been traveling so much, our “office” these days is starting to be wherever the laptop is.  We are so overjoyed to be able to take the time to sit back, grab our sweet tea {in a mason jar, of course!}, and share a host of gorgeous weddings from all over the South with y’all.  Up first is this rustic stunner from Jenny Tenney Photography!

From Emily, the bride: “Will and I are North Carolinians to the core.  We are both graduates of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  We met there, moved to Washington, DC and then returned to our beloved state.  When we became engaged and searched for a wedding site, it soon became apparent that the Blue Ridge Mountains represented everything we wanted.  Linville and Grandfather Mountain seemed the ideal setting with its serenity and natural beauty.  We both have very personal connections to this area of the mountains… Will’s parents had begun their marriage in this area, and as a child, I loved hiking and sightseeing at Grandfather. It was a natural decision.

I knew I wanted to be married in a mountain church and discovering Crossnore Presbyterian, known locally as the “Miracle In the Hills” church, was a thrill!  Made of local river stone and chestnut bark, thischurch embodies the natural and serene feeling we wanted for our ceremony. It has an etheral quality that we felt immediately.  The bridesmaids were gorgeous in their pink Amsale gowns, and the groomsmen looked so handsome in their classic tuxedos.  Our adorable nieces wore smocked dresses carrying wands of moss & ribbons.  A
trolley ride to and from the church was just the right touch — thanks Dad!“  This wedding is perfectly sweet and southern, y’all, and we just cherish it.

A Timeless North Carolina Wedding by Graham Terhune Photography

North Carolina wedding blog, timeless weddingsWe have a beyond amazing North Carolina wedding to share with y’all today.  Since we’ve been doing this for a while now, I {Amy here} can confess that I have a list of photographers I adore.  I really just love them.  And to me, featuring even a snippet of their work is always a dream come true.  If put to paper, it would likely end up being a ridiculously long list… I always keep finding more amazing people all over the South.  But when a wedding from Graham Terhune Photography landed in our inbox, my heart did a double back flip.  I hope y’all enjoy this wedding as much as we have!

From Graham Terhune Photography: “Kendall and Josh were married on a beautiful Saturday in early March.  They were surrounded by so many of the family members and friends who were delighted to show their support as Kendall and Josh entered into the most sacred covenant with one another.  When we spoke with Kendall and Josh before their wedding day, we asked them to describe the three most important elements to shine in their wedding photographs.  Their response: their mutual love for Christ, their love for one another, and their love for their friends and family.  The details of the wedding were traditional and lovely, but the loveliest detail of all is the genuine love between two best friends who became husband and wife.”  Congratulations, Kendall and Josh!
