A Lowcountry Engagement Session on Daniel Island
Happy Monday, y’all! We are kind of silly-happy to have another lovely engagement sesh from Richard Bell Photography. Charleston wedding inspiration is without a doubt one of our favorite things, and this lowcountry engagement session is pretty darling. Leslie and Ed took the path less traveled with some more unique locations in North Charleston and Daniel Island, but the results are still as sweet as we’ve come to expect from our friends at Richard Bell Photography. We know everyone is gearing up for another week of inspiring weddings and engagement sessions, and we’re glad to have this beauty to get you started!
A Lowcountry Engagement Session at Boone Hall
This engagement session at Charleston’s famous Boone Hall Plantation is ahh-mazing. And we mean that. The red blooms, the horses, and all the gorgeousness of the South Carolina lowcountry has us just over the moon, y’all, and Jesalyn and Rich are just as sweet as they can be! Jesalyn tells us about how fate {and some persistent family members!} brought them together to their happily ever after: “We were introduced by our families years ago. My mum is friends with his aunt, and they always told us that we had to meet. Rich and I went on a nice date, but we were both young and not wanting to get into a serious relationship. Fast forward years down the road — I’m living in Charleston, and he’s still in Minnesota. We reconnected (again through my mum and his aunt). We started dating long distance, he made the move to Charleston, and now we are engaged!” Congratulations, Jesalyn and Rich!
{South Carolina} Charleston Wedding at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
We have an incredibly wonderful lowcountry wedding from Richard Bell Photography to share with y’all today! Mell Bell let us in on a few of the snazzy details of Mariah and Tom’s Charleston wedding day: “They are both golfers who fell in love with the Charleston area one golfing trip together. Guests traveled from all over the world, including New York City and Australia, to be with these two to celebrate their day. Mariah and Tom chose chic Charleston lamp posts as their place cards, and had lanterns throughout the ceremony and reception locations. Favors were a cute treat bag filled with the necessary ingredients for s’mores, with which guests could create their own over the fire pit behind the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation.”
{South Carolina} South Carolina Aquarium Wedding by Richard Bell Photography
We are pleased as punch to share this Charleston wedding from Richard Bell Photography with y’all today. The South Carolina Aquarium was the perfect backdrop for their day of celebration. Classic Lowcountry touches, like colorful flowers in mason jars and a timeless wedding gown, were mingled with fun elements, like cupcakes inspired by the fishes and a zombie-fighting wedding cake. Yes, we’re serious about that cake, and it’s pretty awesome.
{South Carolina} A Colorful Lowcountry Wedding by Richard Bell Photography
Katy tossed away the notion of wearing a pair of brand new heels on her wedding day. She shared a special bond with her mom, her sister, and many other relatives present at her wedding as she walked down the aisle that day. The vintage shoes she wore have been part of a wedding day tradition in Katy’s family for years.
