{South Carolina} A Colorful Lowcountry Wedding by Richard Bell Photography
Katy tossed away the notion of wearing a pair of brand new heels on her wedding day. She shared a special bond with her mom, her sister, and many other relatives present at her wedding as she walked down the aisle that day. The vintage shoes she wore have been part of a wedding day tradition in Katy’s family for years.

This is the kind of wedding I dreamed about as a little girl. A pretty white church, a wedding gown with pearl buttons down the back ending with a perfectly tied bow, the perfect shade of blue. It’s a day so sweet that it makes everything old look new again — the antiques just make it that much lovelier.
{South Carolina} A Romantic Blush Pink Wedding
Happy Monday, y’all! We have something exciting to share today — Kat’s South Carolina wedding! In case you don’t have ANY idea what I’m talking about, make sure you’ve first looked at her engagement session {here} and her bridal portraits {here}. Blush pink must be the new black, and that’s just fine by us, because this wedding is lovely.

We are so in love with this South Carolina wedding! The bridesmaids wore blue dresses and red high heels, and the groomsmen rocked red and blue striped bowties! The wedding was an uncomplicated and stunning event, with the beautiful surroundings and South Carolina marsh serving as the event decor. What more do you need for a perfect wedding?
{North Carolina} A Handmade Mountain Wedding
Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…”
From Perry Vaile Photography: “Britney & Logan’s sweet DIY wedding is the perfect mix of Southern lovin’ and mountain livin’. We’re lucky here in North Carolina to get to enjoy this special vibe, where a bride can say “I do” on the side of a mountain, and sit down to her reception table with mason jars. These two love birds worked tirelessly to put together their wedding and to make it uniquely THEM. Logan made the wooden signs by hand that pointed out the way to the ceremony and reception. In a super sweet show of love, he made a full set of signs that read the bible verse (1 Corinthians 13:4) to line the aisle as Britney walked down. Britney made an apple pie instead of a wedding cake because it was the first thing she ever cooked for Logan. With heartfelt details like this, and such a truly kind and amazing (not to mention gorgeous) couple, I’d love to shoot their wedding over every day and twice on Sundays!” We hope y’all love this handmade mountain wedding as much as we do!
