Who says a Southern bride can’t be modern? Amanda and John’s wedding was a stunning display of purple, plum, and hot pink florals. The bridesmaids wore dark strapless dresses, and the groom looked handsome in his tux. Not a pair of cowgirl boots is in sight in this wedding, but it’s still lovely.

B. Flint Photography sent us this modern/rustic Mississippi e-session this morning, and it is lovely. In the beginning, they both look stunning in black. The bride-to-be shows off a pretty scarlet coat, then the groom-to-be dons a red sweater for the remainder of their photographs.

With Summer fast approaching, I thought this next wedding was super sweet. And Gypsy Tree Photography (based in Pennsylvania) always knows the way to my heart–she is my honorary Southern gal. Sunflowers decorate the cupcakes. The bridesmaids are dressed in alternating red and orange dresses. In the photos, traditional stuffiness is exchanged for fun poses. The girls hide their faces with their bouquets, hold prop mustaches in front of a “silver bullet” camper, and blow air kisses on the farm.

I love it when brides look like they truly relaxed a little bit and enjoyed their wedding day. There’s too much stress involved; it can be overwhelming to anyone, and this is supposed to be one of the most important days of your life! At this wedding, the bride wore peacock green heels, ate cupcakes, and idled in a striped hammock with her groom after the ceremony. Her bridesmaids rocked belted grey silk dresses, and one even played music at the ceremony! The venue is modern, the attendants are vintage, and the reception is offbeat. I love it!

Holly & Hao’s Dallas wedding is can’t-miss-it dreamy. The bride wore heels from Badgley Mischka. The bridesmaids carried gorgeous purple and lavender bouquets. A beautiful brunch followed a traditional church ceremony. A fun alternative replaced the traditional guest book at the reception. And the couple’s getaway – a decked out “just married” tandem bicycle – is just such a brilliant idea!
