When you see as many weddings as we do, it’s sometimes easy to stop referring to a wedding as “unique” or “inspiring.” We love weddings so much that we could likely see the same things again and again and still be totally, utterly inspired… even the trends we see repeated from season to season still make us have happy butterflies. But when this wedding from Jessica Rayborn Photography landed on my desk, I was a little bit awed. Here was a wedding that was cool and chic and atypical of my usual loves! From the jeweled color scheme to the bride’s gorgeous Winnie Couture gown, today’s wedding at the Atlanta Botanical Garden has us a little blown away. The details are unique and different, and we adore that it’s still so very southern.

{Georgia} Pine Mountain E-Session at Callaway Gardens Resort
The thing I love most about having a “Southern” wedding blog versus, say, a “vintage” or just “these certain places” wedding blog is that I get to see so much. I’ve been a Southern gal all my life, but every day my inbox is lovingly brimming with new weddings, e-sessions, and bridal inspirations that are perfectly Southern and absolutely new to me–venues and ideas I’ve never seen before. The great thing about the South is that there is SO much to experience – mountains, beaches, lowlands, you name it. The cuisine varies, the culture varies, but despite our differences, at the end of the day we join together with one common belief: we are Southerners! Whatever that means to you, personally, may you carry it with you always.

Today we welcome Abigail Seymour Photography to The Lovely Find! We’re kicking off her debut with the wedding of Haley + Tristan, a couple from Greensboro, North Carolina. This wedding is full of handmade details. The bride and groom’s personal wedding vows. The beautiful one-of-a-kind lace wedding gown sewn by the bride’s mama. And the delicate gardenia tree that bloomed in the yard… a tribute in memory of Haley’s sister.
