{North Carolina} A Farm Engagement Session by Dana Dillehunt
Wow, y’all! Thank goodness for Fridays is the sentiment we’re agreeing with this week! Not only have we seen incredible wedding and engagement inspiration, but we’re rolling along and making big progress on our first e-glossy, due to premiere in June of this year! It’s getting so close! Before we share our newest Southern Vendors and wrap up for the weekend, we have to share this classic farm engagement session from Dana Dillehunt with y’all. Photographed in Fearrington Village in North Carolina, Regan and Shawn are just adorable and look super sweet together.
{Tennessee} A Southern Farm Wedding by jHenderson Studios
We have a Tennessee wedding stunner for y’all from jHenderson Studios this afternoon. From the big red barn in the distance, to the cowgirl boots and the bride’s to die for Lazaro wedding gown, this wedding is absolutely lovely. The burlap, white blooms, and rich purple hues created a perfect southern environment for Bill and Lindsey’s wedding day. To honor Bill’s legal career, the groom’s cake was designed to resemble a stack of law books. And at the end of the night, the bride and groom celebrated with fireworks. From Lindsey, the bride: “We based the style of our wedding on the simple, rustic aesthetic associated with the vineyards of wine country, but replaced core elements with southern staples like burlap, mason jars, and traditional southern food to reflect our southern roots.” Congratulations, Bill and Lindsey!
12 Days of Lovely Christmas Finds, Day 3: A Vintage Day on the Farm
We have something extra romantic and whimsical to share with y’all today. A styled sesh out of Richmond, Virginia from our friends at Retrospect Rentals has our hearts a-fluttering; the vintage styling and the layered wedding cakes lend an air of festivity to the event. Although it isn’t a holiday shoot, it’s our opinion that the velvet couches, the glowing light and the pretty blue, mustard and berry tones give us a hint of all that’s magical about this time of year. Hope y’all love it!
From Retrospect Rentals: “The leaves were so beautiful this year and we wanted the shoot to complement the colors on the farm and the season, focusing on blue and gold. We actually had quite a few more things planned. While we were fortunate enough to not get any damage from hurricane Sandy here in Richmond, we unfortunately had the shoot planned for the day the storm arrived. We had to rush around and get it all pulled together a few days early because we were afraid the leaves would all be blown away afterwards! We wanted the shoot to have a romantic, whimsical and earthy feel.”
