{South Carolina} South Carolina Aquarium Wedding by Richard Bell Photography
We are pleased as punch to share this Charleston wedding from Richard Bell Photography with y’all today. The South Carolina Aquarium was the perfect backdrop for their day of celebration. Classic Lowcountry touches, like colorful flowers in mason jars and a timeless wedding gown, were mingled with fun elements, like cupcakes inspired by the fishes and a zombie-fighting wedding cake. Yes, we’re serious about that cake, and it’s pretty awesome.
{South Carolina} A Charleston Wedding by Carolina Photosmith
Happy Thursday, y’all! I have to tell you — I love Charleston weddings. Even though I’ve been in North Carolina for most of my life, everything about a pretty Charleston wedding gives me that “home” and “Southern hospitality” feeling I adore. If I could live anywhere else, Charleston would be at the top of my list. This Old Wide Awake Plantation wedding by Carolina Photosmith is be-eautiful. Blue hydrangeas, pink roses, and one of my favorite bridesmaid dress colors rocked the day. To make it a true Lowcountry celebration, the bride and groom celebrated with chalkboard signs and customized cornhole boards painted with the Palmetto tree! To add to all this happiness, they had a canine cake topper. Love love love.
{South Carolina} A Colorful Lowcountry Wedding by Richard Bell Photography
Katy tossed away the notion of wearing a pair of brand new heels on her wedding day. She shared a special bond with her mom, her sister, and many other relatives present at her wedding as she walked down the aisle that day. The vintage shoes she wore have been part of a wedding day tradition in Katy’s family for years.
{South Carolina} A Rustic Charleston Wedding at Runnymede Plantation
We have something extra pretty to share with everyone today! This Charleston wedding at Runnymede Plantation is a beauty in burlap and pale linens. The bridesmaids wore green seersucker, and the bride and groom cut into a homemade pecan pie baked by the bride’s grandmother. After the ceremony, everyone toasted s’mores before sending the happy couple off in a shower of sparkles.
{South Carolina} A Pink + Navy Charleston Wedding
I love Charleston weddings. It’s true that I might be partial to them because I lived and worked in South Carolina, but on top of all that, they’re so darn pretty. I haven’t seen a Charleston venue yet that hasn’t just knocked my socks off, and this wedding is no different. Bright pink hydrangeas, cowgirl boots, and a bridal session at Boone Hall Plantation… it’s just what we needed this Friday! This South Carolina wedding is a combination of everything that is great about the Lowcountry, captured by the very talented group at Richard Bell Photography.
