{Alabama} A Southern Wedding by Chanterelle Photography

Alabama wedding blogThis Alabama southern wedding by Chanterelle Photography is the bee’s knees, y’all.  From her ethereal wedding veil to the beautifully classic bouquet of white blooms she carried, we’re kind of in love with Courtney and Greg’s traditional Fountainview Mansion wedding day.  The calligraphy on their invites, the tall centerpieces of hydrangea and white rose, and the “something blue” that wrapped around Courtney’s bouquet are just the beginning of all the southern goodness.

{South Carolina} A Charleston Destination Wedding by Sally Watts Photo

Charleston weddings, lowcountry weddingsFrom Sally Watts Photo: “Kellie and Russ live in Charlotte, and planned a destination wedding in Charleston, South Carolina.  Kellie is Southern and Russ is from England, so the RiverOaks venue was perfect for them.  It’s a blend of Lowcountry waterfront hospitality and English cottage charm.

The event had a distinct casual Charleston vibe, but with opulent touches, such as varied real china place settings.  The outdoor atmosphere after dark was reminiscent of a Gatsby era lawn party.  The dessert and coffee service area was another nod to the couple’s heritage, with southern and British delicacies.”  Congratulations, Kellie and Russ!

{Virginia} A Southern Military Wedding by Rachael Foster Photography

stained glass weddings, wedding blog, military weddingsWe hare in love with the military wedding goodness Rachael Foster Photography was able to capture in Virginia.  The bride and groom combined traditional wedding elements with family heirlooms — a garter made by the bride’s mama, a family locket, and photos of both families.  The groom’s cake was an ode to his military career, and the gorgeous stained glass windows of the church where they wed happened to be the childhood church of the bride!

{South Carolina} A Lowcountry Engagement Session at Boone Hall

Boone Hall engagement sessionThis engagement session at Charleston’s famous Boone Hall Plantation is ahh-mazing.  And we mean that.  The red blooms, the horses, and all the gorgeousness of the South Carolina lowcountry has us just over the moon, y’all, and Jesalyn and Rich are just as sweet as they can be!  Jesalyn tells us about how fate {and some persistent family members!} brought them together to their happily ever after: “We were introduced by our families years ago.  My mum is friends with his aunt, and they always told us that we had to meet.  Rich and I went on a nice date, but we were both young and not wanting to get into a serious relationship.  Fast forward years down the road — I’m living in Charleston, and he’s still in Minnesota.  We reconnected (again through my mum and his aunt).  We started dating long distance, he made the move to Charleston, and now we are engaged!”  Congratulations, Jesalyn and Rich!
