A Timeless North Carolina Wedding by Graham Terhune Photography
We have a beyond amazing North Carolina wedding to share with y’all today. Since we’ve been doing this for a while now, I {Amy here} can confess that I have a list of photographers I adore. I really just love them. And to me, featuring even a snippet of their work is always a dream come true. If put to paper, it would likely end up being a ridiculously long list… I always keep finding more amazing people all over the South. But when a wedding from Graham Terhune Photography landed in our inbox, my heart did a double back flip. I hope y’all enjoy this wedding as much as we have!
From Graham Terhune Photography: “Kendall and Josh were married on a beautiful Saturday in early March. They were surrounded by so many of the family members and friends who were delighted to show their support as Kendall and Josh entered into the most sacred covenant with one another. When we spoke with Kendall and Josh before their wedding day, we asked them to describe the three most important elements to shine in their wedding photographs. Their response: their mutual love for Christ, their love for one another, and their love for their friends and family. The details of the wedding were traditional and lovely, but the loveliest detail of all is the genuine love between two best friends who became husband and wife.” Congratulations, Kendall and Josh!
A Southern Fête by Anna Routh Photography
Anna Routh Photography brightens our afternoon with this oh so pretty North Carolina wedding day. The ceremony, held at The Atrium in Wilmington, gives us that sweet “garden wedding” vibe we’re craving this season, while never straying far from its Southern roots. From the bride’s awe-inspiring Rivini gown to the pale pink roses of her bouquet, this precious wedding is a little bit vintage, a little bit classic, and totally lovely and just our style; they served cupcakes at the reception, y’all! Congratulations to Jamie and Clint for rocking a spectacular wedding day! Jamie, you’re an incredible and gorgeous bride!
A Classic Southern Wedding by Melissa Tuck Photography
We can’t think of any way we’d rather start off a week of amazing weddings than with Katie and Kyle’s Georgia wedding from Melissa Tuck Photography. Just grab your sweet tea and get ready, y’all. The style of this wedding is just divine, from the pink peonies decorating the wedding cake to the stunning Paloma Blanca gown Katie wore. Classic and truly beautiful, their reception at The Georgia Club even held a bit of whimsy… they served “K” doughnuts to their guests!
A Virginia Wedding Celebration at New Kent Winery
Today we have winery wedding goodness for y’all from M. Chase Narratives, New Kent Winery, and some other amazing wedding vendors we love, both locally and nationally! Bridesmaids dressed in blue J. Crew, a classic brick church, and accents of white blooms and baby’s breath everywhere… we know you’re going to love this as much as we do!
A Southern Wedding by Morgan Trinker Photography
From Morgan Trinker Photography: “Melissa and Richard are the kind of couple who can keep you laughing until your sides hurt. They’re so much fun to be around, and it only made sense that their wedding was a direct reflection of their love for life and for having a good time. I also loved how very classically Southern the whole day was. The choice of venue, American Village in Montevallo, Alabama, really set the tone with its collection of colonial-inspired buildings. The ceremony was held in a church that looked like it was straight out of historic Boston, and the reception took place in a big red barn next door. The decor centered around a timeless, neutral color palette of various shades of ivory and white with touches of burlap and other natural materials for texture.
It rained on and off throughout the day, but that didn’t put a damper on Melissa and Richard’s spirits. In fact, it even resulted in a gorgeous rainbow, and we were able to capture a photograph of them in front of it. I can’t think of a better way to make lemonade out of lemons!
Since the wedding took place on the first official Saturday of football season (which is huge in Birmingham for both Alabama and Auburn fans), the couple set up a special corner in the reception for guests to watch the game once it came on if they wanted. (Planning your wedding around football games is a REALLY big deal here, so I’m sure this made some of the hardcore fans very happy!) They also made custom beer koozies that said, “we interrupt this marriage to bring you football season.” How fun is that? Overall, the whole day was just such a treat to capture!” Congratulations, Melissa and Richard!
