A Raleigh Wedding at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences
I’m seriously in love with this wedding. Does it help that Carolyn Scott Photography was there to capture all the gorgeousness? Yes, it sort of does — she’s taking OUR pictures this July! But the icing on the cake for me is the reception at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences… nothing says southern romance like a little bit of prehistoric goodness and dinosaurs on the wedding cake, y’all. I may be a bit of a nerd for saying that, but it’s true! And the gorgeous colors of the Raleigh landscape add to the drama and “wow” of this wedding. Fun fact: the bride, Brooke, speaks Japanese!
A South Carolina Wedding with Major School Spirit
Happy Thursday, y’all! Who’s already ready for the weekend? We’re bringing out another sweet wedding from Meet The Burks today. This one, with hues of peach, coral, and pink, is showcasing serious amounts of school pride. It’s Furman vs. Clemson at this wedding, and to be honest with y’all, we think both schools rocked it. The wedding had a little bit of everything we love about the South, from mason jars filled with sweet tea to cornhole and even an honest to goodness school mascot. Then there’s more we love, like the framed heirloom wedding photos, the five tier wedding cake with lacy detail, and the fact they offered classic bottles of Cheerwine at the reception!

We are pleased as punch to share this Charleston wedding from Richard Bell Photography with y’all today. The South Carolina Aquarium was the perfect backdrop for their day of celebration. Classic Lowcountry touches, like colorful flowers in mason jars and a timeless wedding gown, were mingled with fun elements, like cupcakes inspired by the fishes and a zombie-fighting wedding cake. Yes, we’re serious about that cake, and it’s pretty awesome.

Hold onto your seats! We have an extra gorgeous wedding to share with y’all today, hailing from Virginia wine country. The bride wore yellow high heels; the bridesmaids carried parasols, and wore unique dresses in berry hues. Colorful bouquets, an abundance of orange and pink and yellow roses, and plenty of twinkle lights turned this wedding into a night to remember. A classic lace gown and flowers in her hair made the bride stunning. We love this wedding, y’all!

This gorgeous Texas wedding, shaded in pretty colors of gold, cream, and pink, is lovely and romantic. The bride and groom chose to have their ceremony outside at sunset, overlooking the Texas skyline. The bride later changed into a short wedding dress for her wedding reception so that she could dance the night away. We love their reception space, glowing and sweet, with an abundance of white roses and pink florals.
