Whimsical Banjo Engagement Inspiration
Goodness gracious. Every time we think we’ve seen the best of the best or the loveliest of the lovely, we’re surprised by that next amazing session that lands in our inbox. And this “banjo engagement session” from Leah Bullard Photography reduced us to fits of girly squeals and pure excitement when we first saw it. A rustic Tennessee setting, an honest to goodness banjo, a pillow fight, and all that southern goodness we know and love. We just can’t get enough of Kristi and Brannon’s day. If you want more of it, too, you should check out their little video here. Congratulations, Kristi and Brannon, we adore you!
{Tennessee} A Smoky Mountain Engagement Session by Alex Bee Photo
Yay! Today is the day we get to share Abbie and Jon’s Townsend, Tennessee engagement session by Alex Bee Photo. The Moon Shadow Lodge served as the perfect rustic backdrop for their Smoky Mountain engagement session. And we couldn’t be happier with the gorgeous light, those happy smiles, and that absolutely “in love” look we just can’t get enough of. Congratulations, Abbie and Jon!
{Georgia} A Southern Engagement Session by Pink Shoe Photography
What an honor it is to feature photographs from some of our favorite Southern Vendors, like today’s session from Katie and Jenica Pink Shoe Photography. And to make things even more amazing, Katie of Pink Shoe Photography stepped in front of the camera for her very own engagement session! We are adoring Katie and John and how amazing they look together!
From Katie, today’s wedding photographer turned bride-to-be: “John and I dated for a year in high school, but went our separate ways shortly after my senior year. As fate would have it—well, a mutual friend, actually—we made our way back into each other’s lives after college. Shortly after we reconnected, John took me up to his grandmother’s lake house on Lake Rabun, in North Georgia, for a weekend away. He first took me there on a family trip when we were together 10 years prior (or what we playfully refer to as “round one” of our relationship). We have since spent countless fun and relaxing weekends at Lake Rabun with family and friends.
Five years after “round two” started, John asked me to marry him during a beautiful sunset in the Florida Keys. As a wedding photographer, I wanted to pick the perfect location for our engagement session. I knew the perfect location for these photographs would be the gorgeous and memory-filled Lake Rabun. I also had the perfect person for the job. My business partner and close friend, Jenica, was there to capture these gorgeous engagement images.” Congratulations, Katie and John!
{South Carolina} A Downtown Charleston Engagement Session by HannahLane Photography
Happy Monday, y’all! We’re crushing on this adorable engagement sesh in downtown Charleston from HannahLane Photography. Jenny and her groom-to-be were able to capture so many of the gorgeous elements of this grand Southern city. We love the wrought iron gates and historical architecture. We love Charleston engagement sessions so much because the photographs have so much detail and character. They were even able to bring their furry family member along for some photos!
{North Carolina} A Farm Engagement Session by Dana Dillehunt
Wow, y’all! Thank goodness for Fridays is the sentiment we’re agreeing with this week! Not only have we seen incredible wedding and engagement inspiration, but we’re rolling along and making big progress on our first e-glossy, due to premiere in June of this year! It’s getting so close! Before we share our newest Southern Vendors and wrap up for the weekend, we have to share this classic farm engagement session from Dana Dillehunt with y’all. Photographed in Fearrington Village in North Carolina, Regan and Shawn are just adorable and look super sweet together.
