A Texas Winter Wedding by Shea Halliburton Photography
I myself was a December baby, and so I’m already sort of partial to the season. I adore winter. And as a wedding blogger and just as a girl in general, thinking up ways to have a fantastic winter wedding without freezing my guests has crossed my mind more than once. {Yes, I’ve planned imaginary weddings for each of the seasons. What else is Pinterest for?}
Naturally, when Alison and Tim’s not-so-chilly January wedding in Austin, Texas came my way, I grabbed at the chance to feature it. Absolutely gorgeous, y’all. Alison is such a timelessly beautiful bride, and there’s so much love and emotion captured in the images taken by… well, BY SHEA. She has my vote for coolest to-the-point photography name, don’t you think?
A Lowcountry Wedding by Julia Wade Photography
Julia Wade Photography? Pure love for her {see her work here, here, and here to name a few}. Creek Club at I’On? You better believe they’re one of our Southern Vendors. And what’s better for the Monday woes than one of the most gorgeous lowcountry weddings any southern bride to be has ever laid eyes on? Not much, in our book. Happy Monday, y’all!
365 Days of Love by Elisabeth Carol Photography
I’m a little obsessed with Elisabeth Carol Photography. Recently found and newly initiated as a beloved member of The Lovely Find, she’s the kind of photographer I point to when my friends think I’ve spent too much time looking at social media and Facebook photo albums. I love her name. I love her branding. Let’s face it: I heart everything about this girl.
And on that note, we get to share something oh so pretty from her today. An anniversary session filled with whimsy and love is just what we need. To make it more awesome, cake from Lauren and Anthony’s wedding day was included, as well as family heirlooms like a grandma’s quilt, a dad’s vintage camera, and doilies passed down generation to generation. Lauren, the bride, blesses us with these words of wisdom about being newlyweds: “Enjoy the time you have in the first year of marriage to learn each other and love each other more deeply. Marriage is another level of a relationship, and just like any new level, there are things to be learned. Patience is key, and learning from mistakes will only make the relationship stronger.“
An Eclectic Southern Wedding in Texas
From Cindy & Saylor | Photographers: “Becca and Chris are a wonderfully creative, quirky and joyful couple. Their relationship is centered on God, and their relationship and tenderness with each other is an inspiration to see. There were so many meaningful and personal details infused into the details of their day, like the birds that were used throughout their decor.” The fabric birds incorporated into their big day were created using fabric from a grandmother’s wedding gown. How sweet is that, y’all?
A Vintage Texas Engagement Session by Mae Rachelle Photography
From Hayley, the bride-to-be: “A very fun and seemingly short year and a half after we began dating, Ezekiel bought a gorgeous engagement ring. He wanted to ask me to marry him at the same beach where he asked me out. I just happened to plan a date there the very next Saturday, which he definitely used to his advantage! We had a fun, romantic day, which probably seemed like an eternity to him. The night was coming to an end, and a beautiful storm was rolling in off in the distance, so we decided to stay and watch. As we were about to leave, he pulled out the ring and asked me the most important question of his entire life: “Will you marry me?” I was obviously crying at this point, and he just claims he had something in his eyes… We plan to get married at the same lake where we shared so many great and romantic memories so that we may add another to our list.”
What inspired their vintage engagement session? “King Kong and The Notebook,” Hayley says. And although it might not be your typical answer, we think it’s awesome and we love it.
